A favor, veteran to veteran

If a book helped you, would you say so?

I wrote these books because I went through the VA claims process myself — and nobody handed me a map. I had to build one. Everything I learned is in these pages.

Here is the problem. When a veteran searches Amazon for help with a claim, they scroll past a book with no reviews. Not because it is bad — because they have no idea whether it is any good. A book nobody vouches for is a book nobody opens.

A review takes about sixty seconds. It costs nothing. And it is the single thing that decides whether the next veteran finds this or scrolls past it.

Be honest. If the book helped, say what helped. If it fell short, say that too — I would rather know. I am not asking for a five-star rating and I am not offering you anything in exchange for one. I am asking for the truth, in your words. That is worth more than praise.

What happens when you click
  1. Amazon opens the review box for that book. Sign in if it asks.
  2. Pick your star rating — whatever you actually think.
  3. Write a few lines. What were you stuck on, and did the book help you get unstuck? That one sentence is what another veteran is looking for.
  4. Submit. Amazon usually posts it within a couple of days.
Amazon requires a reviewer account in good standing. If the review box will not open for you, that is Amazon's rule, not ours — and no hard feelings either way.
We never pay for, trade for, or otherwise incentivize reviews, and we never ask for a specific rating — that violates Amazon's policies and, more to the point, it would make every review on these books worthless. Educational information only — not legal, medical, or claim representation, and not affiliated with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
